Eat.Think.Design. Innovation Feast

On Wednesday, May 7th, eight student teams from UC Berkeley course Eat.Think.Design. presented their work to a public audience at a project showcase. These students came from 15 academic programs, and used design methods to address big challenges in food and food systems. Project partners include the City of San Francisco, Partners in Health (Navajo Nation), the Clinton Health Access Initiative (Uganda), Revolution Foods, and City Harvest (NYC). Screen Shot 2015-01-16 at 9.35.02 AMThe event drew 125 guests, 65% of whom were affiliated with industry. Theseincluded were Revolution Foods, @Walmart Labs, Sierra Club, Whole Foods Market, Jacobs Institute for Design and Innovation, ImageBlock, Point Forward, Inc., Gobee Group, and California HealthCare Foundation, and many more.

The course is supported by the Blum Center for Developing Economies, the Global Center for Food Systems Innovation at Michigan State University, the Center for Teaching and Learning, the School of Public Health, and the Cal Design Lab.
